The cure is in her blood
Night one. The dead stand up across South L.A., and federal troops weld the poor wards shut from the outside. Imani Cross, a night-shift ER nurse, has one way to save her little brother, and it breaks every rule she was ever taught.
By morning, word is out. A government that sealed the ward, the company that built the plague, and the walled enclave of the rich all want the same thing: her.
